About Avery Dennison NTP

We are today a leading player in the production of heat transfers, which are used for embellishing sportswear, workwear and corporate clothing.

For over 30 years we have run a factory in Gaupne, Sogn and Fjordane. 130 employees work to produce high-quality products for printing on textiles. Most of our production goes to the Norwegian market, but we also have a significant share of exports to well-known brands such as Adidas, Umbro and Nike. Among other things, we are the sole supplier to the football club FC Barcelona, where we provide player names and numbers for all official kits sold worldwide.

We also have important sales to workwear and sports retailers in Europe. In addition to self-produced heat transfers, we supply other products such as embroidered and woven brands, produced by Avery Dennison units internationally.

The start of NTP

NTP was started in Gaupne in 1988 in a municipal commercial building. In 1997, NTP took over the premises of the textile factory Synfiber AS of 5,000 square meters. By then we had become 34 employees.

14 years after the start-up, in 2002, NTP was sold to the American large group Paxar, and changed its name to Paxar NTP AS. With a large group behind us, we improved our processes and products. Based on this, we were able to assist Paxar in setting up new factories based on NTP's technology and knowledge worldwide. There are now several such factories, especially close to textile production.

In 2007, Paxar was acquired by the American group Avery Dennison, with over 26,000 employees in around 50 countries.

The Avery Dennison Group operates in 60 countries worldwide, where NTP is part of "Retail Branding and Information Solutions". We are regarded as a center for further product development of transfer brands (Center of Excellence), with unique knowledge and expertise in the field.

Over 100 employees

As a cornerstone company in Luster municipality, it has been important for the local community that NTP has shown good growth. We are the market leader for heat transfers in Norway and work continuously to be a preferred supplier. At the same time, we are growing in the international market, with customers across large parts of Europe.

In a market that is constantly evolving, with new technical textiles and smart solutions, it is critical to focus on development and innovation. We have an innovation department and test center in Gaupne, which works daily to improve the product and create new products.

Since 2010, we have been working with HD quality on our transfer brands. High-tech machines that provide incredibly good level of detail, nice colors and visual effects.

Our goal is to continue the growth in the Norwegian and Scandinavian markets, at the same time as we will continue with expansion to Europe. With NTP's broad field of impact in the "aftermarket" of customers and the Avery Dennison Group's strong customer database, we have all the prerequisites to create products and processes that meet the most challenging requirements. Thus, we will continue to be a leader in heat transfers and textile labeling.
